Raw events from BigQuery

Your own events and older history, through Google Analytics' export to BigQuery.

Google Analytics can export every event to BigQuery. Connected, it lets Glancely answer questions about your own custom events, the routes people take through your site, and history further back than Google Analytics keeps.

You need a BigQuery link in Google Analytics (Admin → BigQuery links) with the daily export on. Glancely notices it by itself.

  1. In Settings → Data sources, press Configure on the property and open Raw events.
  2. Press Connect raw events. Glancely shows an address made for this property alone.
  3. In BigQuery, open that one dataset, choose Sharing → Add principal, paste the address and give it the role BigQuery Data Viewer. Anyone who can share the dataset can do this.
  4. Back in Glancely, press Check again.

Only that one dataset becomes readable — nothing else in your BigQuery. The queries run in our project, at our cost. To stop, use Disconnect raw events in the property's ··· menu.

Once connected, the Behaviour page in the sidebar reads it: see The Behaviour page for what each tab shows.
